DAY AT THE PARK

Central Park, that is. Bella and her dad went to Central Park last weekend to hang out with her friend, Alex, and his dad. It was an above average day for the last week of November in that the temperature was in the low 60s. Leaves were falling, squirrels were scampering about, and there were lots of folks enjoying what might be the last hurrah of fall.

Bella wanted a hand band made of grass, so her dad managed to make this one, which she proudly displayed for the camera.

She also hopped in a row boat with Alex and the two dads for an excursion on the pond, or lake, or whatever. Bella and Alex wanted to get in on the rowing action, so we all enjoyed going in circles for a few minutes.

Near the end of the day, she hit a playground at 86th Street, and hung out with some 5-year-old boy. He was afraid to go down this tall pole, so she showed him how. Twice. He never tried it, but Bella did an outstanding job of easing herself down to the sand.

She went to bed about 7:30 that night.
