That was a pretty funny movie, right? I can't remember.
Anyway, thought I should make note of developments over the weekend. On Saturday, Jen reported that Bella uttered the word "tomato." Bella's dad was not present for this event, and Squeak and Fatty Nacho are unreliable witnesses. So we're taking Jen's word for it, which is golden by the way.
On Sunday, as we were driving around, Bella began repeating three syllables that sounded to us a lot like "no-bah-dee." We figured, naturally, that she was saying "nobody," so we encouraged her and began saying it over and over again in a sing-song fashion. For the rest of the day, Bella would blurt out her oddball sentences and then utter a chorus of "no-bah-dee" a few times before resuming her cadence of made-up near-words.
Also on Sunday, right after Jen helped Bella get her shoes on, Bella said "thank you" (although TECHNICALLY speaking it was more like "nank oo"). Our hearts soared as we applauded her utterance of one of the most important phrases anywhere. No matter what part of the world she travels to, we hope Bella learns to say "thank you" in every language.
