Her grandparents, Nunya and Nana, were in town, so she was already stoked, and when the whistle finally blew allowing the children to scour the ground before them Bella was ready. She stood around the candy and picked up bits of pine bark, throwing them up in the air and yelling "ya!" One little girl even gave Bella a piece of candy, and Bella returned the favor by giving it back to her. Atta girl!
The next bit of Easter activity Bella got involved in was an egg hunt at her friend Grayson's house. Grayson's mom, April, was nice enough to invite the whole New Parent Class crew over for chicken salad sandwiches and cupcakes. She and Jenn Wood "hid" plastic eggs each parent had brought (complete with prizes inside) and then we basically led the children over to the eggs and unleashed the fury.
Bella opted for quality over quantity, choosing her eggs carefully based on color and the shakeability of whatever was inside. In the end, she had four eggs, a cookie, a pop-up toy, two pieces of chocolate her dad quickly confiscated and a thing of bubbles.
Finally, Bella went to Dalton to visit her grandparents, Izzy and Bud, and go through the Easter rituals with them. Bella dyed eggs with Izzy, and impressed her since Bella is used to cracking eggs and stirring them with her mom at home. So not all the eggs made it, I guess. And Bella had learned that Easter eggs are meant to be slipt open in order to get at the prizes inside. She quickly dispatched any plastic egg that didn't have a prize inside - and apparently struck some unusual poses.

She went with Izzy and Bud to her Great Grandmother Catherine's for a fun lunch on Easter Sunday, though not in her purple Easter dress as Bella is into play clothes these not, not dressy dresses. All in all, she had a great Easter filled with sweet memories of family and friends (and her parents got a weekend to sleep and clean and go out for drinks)!

Sounds like it was good for everyone.
OK, my niece is the cutest kid EVER. Sounds like you guys had a great time. Really hope to see you all soon. If not in person, then virtually. I'm working on getting that whole Skype thing. In the meantime, I love the blog. Thanks so much for doing it. I now feel like I'm a little closer to her.
