RETURN TO STORM KING

Bella visited the Storm King sculpture park last year, and returned this summer for a goodbye celebration for her friend Nagisa, who is moving back to Japan. Several of her school friends were there, too, along with a gaggle of parents. Following a picnic lunch in the shade, everyone ventured out to explore Storm King, which would take a few days to do properly, one suspects. Here are some shots of the artwork in the landscape.





































Bella and her friends had a great time - though it was very hot that day. She and Megan led the charge, heading - naturally - for the highest point in the park. They took breaks on the way, and really stretched out near the tops where natural looking boulders had some ingenious carvings on closer inspection.






























She and her friends also played in and around a sculpture of large red/orange metal tubes. One had a strategic hole cut into (or out of?) is just high enough so the children could peek through and say hi!
