GIRL ABOUT TOWN

Bella knows her way to the "hippo park" now by heart. It is located in Riverside Park just a few blocks from our apartment, and has lots of swings and slides and a huge sand box and, naturally, hippo statues which the kids can climb all over. Supposedly in the warm weather, the hippos spray water for the kids to play in. Should be fun!

Today, Bella met up with her uncle Wes (aka Uncle Bad Habits) and his co-worker, Elizabeth, at the Museum of Modern Art today. She had a great time riding the escalators, watching an animated film, and playing in a small European van that an artist had somehow elongated and filled with kid-sized stools. She also enjoyed seeing the full sized helicopter that is part of the museum's exhibit of design.

After the MOMA, we all went to Brooklyn for a late lunch and then walked to the new Brooklyn Bridge Park. Bella loved the little playground there. The view of southern Manhattan is hard to beat from the comfort of the swings.

Also of hilarious note: this morning, Bella came out of the bedroom saying, "Look mommy!" She was holding Jen's bra over her shirt and said, "I'm wearing your boobies!"
