TWO-YEAR-OLD CHECK UP

So, Bella went reluctantly to the doctor a week or so ago for her two-year-old check up. And let me start by saying that since she was 18 months old or so, she's known exactly what the road to the doctor's office looks like no matter which end of it we turn into. She does not like going there, and we've been there plenty of times for ear infections, shots, check ups and such. Such is life.

But Bella was well behaved and mostly calm at this visit for some reason. She weighed in at 26 pounds, 6 ounces (50th percentile), and 34 inches in height (75th percentile), and her head measurement was 90th percentile (whatever that equals). And she was doing everything that the state deems required asking by the doctor: speaking x-number of words, pointing and talking about objects, following with her eyes, sleeping, eating, etc.

Of note: we saw seven buses on the way to the doctor's office. A drive of only two miles! It was a record for us. Bella and I always count dogs, cats, squirrels, buses, garbage trucks, swings, slides, dumpsters, motorcycles, balloons and bicycles on the way to and from school. Our record for dumpsters is seven on the way to school!

Good job. Sounds like she is thriving well. Tall and skinny, just like her daddy!

Did you get the books at your local library or did you buy them? I'll have to see if I can find them.

You should read, "Llama Llama, Mad at Mama." It's cute.

We have "Llama Llama Red Pajamas," but will look for the Mad at Mama book - though I don't know if Jen will be thrilled with it.

We got Emily Brown at Little Shop of Stories in Decatur. Might have it at the library, or Amazon, etc. Read it last night again...
